MN State Fair

MN State Fair

August: MN State Fair time of year!
My mom and I ALWAYS go!

We visit the University of MN Dairy Bar...

and get our usual: chocolate shake :)

We tried a glass of Marquette grape wine from MN vineyards.

This is my mom enjoying her glass of wine at the MN State Fair Wine Bar.

Then, we wait in line for CHEESE CURDS!!

Need a COLD Coca-Cola to wash down the cheese curds.
23 oz. = $2.50

We ALWAYS sit on our curb and listen to the 6:30 PM Talent Show.

At the end of the night, we share a bag of Tom Thumb Mini Donuts while walking around the Midway and Grandstand. This year we got to overhear Reba's concert!

Pasta Ponza

Pasta Ponza

Ponza is an island off of the shin part of Italy's boot.

Pasta I used: Ziti

Fresh cherry tomatoes from the garden and fresh parsley are brilliant together :)

It is fabulous with Pecorino Romano, however, coming from a no/low salt background - I use Parmesan or Parmigiano Reggiano, which is just as fabulous!!
